RICASSP
The Rhode Island Child and Adolescent Service System Program, RICASSP, is a statewide system of care initiative which helps parents and communities plan family-centered services for children with serious emotional disturbance (SED).  RICASSP utilizes Family Service Coordinators who implement the wraparound process in developing an individualized child & family care plan to prevent children and youth with serious emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges from going into out of home placement. RICASSP membership consists of members from each of the eight Local Coordinating Councils (LCCs), which support integrated community planning at the local level.
RICASSP expanded its focus with Project HOPE. Project Hope addresses the multiple needs of adjudicated youth with serious emotional disturbances by developing flexible community-based services and supports that incorporate key program elements from documented best practices in both Children’s Mental Health and Juvenile Justice Systems.
